BioRevolution’s olive programme is designed to support fruit sizing and improve the proportion of olives falling into commercially preferred size categories. The Kalamata trial data below evaluates how different C4L timings influenced final fruit weight and size distribution.

Olive Spray Programme

In olive production, improvements in fruit size distribution can be just as important as average weight. A shift away from smaller fruit and towards medium-to-large grades can strengthen pack-out value and improve the commercial outcome of the season.

Semi-commercial trial

C4L application, both as a combination of post-harvest and pre-flowering treatment and as a standalone pre-flowering treatment, resulted in increased weight.

C4L spray programmes improved olive size distribution, increasing large fruit by 15%. 

The post-harvest plus pre-flowering programme also reduced small fruit by 11%, demonstrating a positive shift towards more medium to large fruit.
